Detection Principle

The economical phosphate analyzer is designed and developed according to the national standard HJ 670-2013 "Determination of Phosphate and Total Phosphorus in Water Quality - Ammonium molybdate spectrophotometric method". Under acidic conditions, orthophosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate and potassium antimony oxide tartrate to form phosphomolybdic acid, which is reduced by the reducing agent ascorbic acid to form a blue complex. The colorimetric method is used to directly display the phosphate content (calculated as P) (mg/L) after calculation by the instrument chip. If phosphate ion is required, the displayed result is multiplied by 3.10 to obtain the actual result.
